Anyone in the team can lead an event
Without a dedicated Scrum Master, the team leads its events in turn. Cadence guides every step: what to do now, what you need for it, and how much time is left.

Let everyone write in silence first, then share.
Open the retro board: the notes from this sprint are already on it. Add what is missing, in silence first.
How it works
In turn
Cadence names who leads the next event, alphabetically and skipping whoever is away. That person gets a notification beforehand.
A briefing first
What to watch for: how it went last time, what the coach wants to try, which actions or impediments are still open.
Every step guided
Each step says what to do, with the sprint goal, the Definition of Ready or the open actions beside it, and a timer that turns red.
What else you get
- An agenda per event, with the minutes shared out over the steps
- Nudges at the right moment: write in silence first, one minute left, owners before closing
- A parking lot for what comes up but does not belong
- Afterwards the anonymous rating, so the team says how it went
- A small window beside your video call

Frequently asked questions
Does someone need to know Scrum?
No. The steps say in plain language what to do and why. After leading a few times, everyone knows how it works.
Can a Scrum Master use it too?
Yes. In Cadence Full each team decides whether everyone may lead; a Scrum Master uses the same guidance.
